SPCS2022 Zone Information

Preliminary information about SPCS2022 is available via the links listed below, including complete zone definitions and example coordinate computation results for every zone. These are provided as online interactive tables that can be sorted and filtered, and as downloadable files for some of the datasets. Tables and data for other types of information will be added as they become available.

Zone Definitions and Design Status

Preliminary but complete definitions for all SPCS2022 zones, including status of designs.

Note: Many grid origin metric values (false northings and eastings) have been updated such that the international foot values are exact whole numbers, and to have northings not equal to eastings within a zone. See section 6.f.v of the SPCS2022 Procedures for details.

Example Coordinates and Distortion Values

Example preliminary computation results for SPCS2022 coordinates, scale factors, linear distortion, and convergence angle.

  • Online interactive table of coordinates. Gives values for one point in every SPCS2022 zone.
  • Alpha NCAT. Preliminary version of the NGS Coordinate Conversion and Transformation Tool (NCAT) that can be used to perform SPCS2022 coordinate conversions.
